Stepping Out

Stepping Out is Family of Faith’s Street Ministry whose sole purpose is to practice God’s command in Romans 12:13, “Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
”As God provides the resources we intend to deliver hot food, hot non-alcoholic drinks, warm clean clothes, blankets and coats to Spokane’s homeless. Our passion is to share provisions, fellowship, warmth and hope with the lost.

We are a close  Family of men and women who actively pursue recovery and healing through Jesus, Bible study and healthy fellowship. A lot of us lived on the streets, and remember what it was like to live in hopelessness. Our desire is to show every person the love of Jesus Christ one lost soul at a time.
We are excited about this ministry. At least 50 members of Family of Faith “stepped up” to Step Out for our first mission. On January 18, 2010 we distributed 238 sandwiches, close to 20 gallons of soup, 25 gallons of coffee, 10 pounds of candy, 80 blankets, dozens of coats, more than 100 pairs of socks, numerous hats and gloves, clothing and several Bibles. God is already growing Stepping Out beyond our original vision.

Bringing hope to the lost and hopeless. We welcome and appreciate all support, whether it is prayer, time or donations, for this honorable endeavor. Below you will find contact information for Stepping Out. We encourage you to, “offer your bodies  as living sacrifices holy and pleasing to God” (Romans 12:1). Step Out in Faith as Peter did in Matthew 14:29. Step Out of the boat. Leave your warm homes. Get  out of the pews. The real work is outside our walls. Many suffer on the streets alone, hungry and cold. We can save them. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13).
